Course Overview
This OFQUAL regulated paediatric first aid course is ideal for those who work or intend to work in a childcare setting as it has been specifically designed to fulfil Ofsted’s first aid requirements for early years teachers, nursery workers and child minders (as defined within the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage 2014 and within the Child Care Register guide). It is also ideal for parents, nannies and au pairs who regularly look after children under the age of 8, or those who are working towards an NVQ in Childcare and Education (Level 3).
Over a 2 day period, students will learn the vital skills needed to administer safe and effective treatment when dealing with potentially life-threatening paediatric emergencies. What’s more, this course now includes infant and child AED use following the Resuscitation Council (UK) 2015 Guidelines update.
Delegates are continuously assessed throughout the course.
